The second conference (PragueMUN 2013) has doubled in size and scope since then and it is our goal to further enlarge the conference as it has proven very popular amongst participants from all over the world. The long-term objective of PragueMUN is to create an environment for students to exchange different ideas about international policy and most of all to enhance their critical thinking and leadership skills.

The history of our university dates back to 1919 when The College of Commerce (VSO) was founded as an independent department of the Czech Technical University. It had specializations in Wholesale Trade, Banking and Industrial Organization. In 1953 VSO was reorganized and re-established as The University of Economics (VSE) consisting of five faculties: Economics, Finance and Credit, Statistics, Production Economics and Commerce.
Nowadays, the university continues to flourish by educating high profile graduates in both the public and the private sector. Some notable alumni include the current and the previous President of the Czech Republic, several Prime Ministers, numerous Governors of the Czech National Bank and many successful entrepreneurs.
